The Hands and Heart Behind the Art
I’m Andrea - a self-taught woodworking artist, designer, and one-woman workshop studio based in Johannesburg. I create sculptural wooden wall art using exotic hardwoods, premium pine, and off-cuts that most would overlook. Each piece is shaped by hand, guided by the lines in the wood and the feeling I want to evoke.
My work sits somewhere between art and design - rooted in clean geometry, natural texture, and the quiet character of real timber. I let the wood lead, allowing its grain, tone, and flaws to influence each composition. It's a slow process. Not mass-produced. And that’s the point.
If you’re looking for wall art with warmth, depth, and a story to tell - you’re in the right place.

From the first cut to the final signature, every detail is made by hand
The Story Behind the Cat in the Logo...
A Mark of Care
Not every part of my studio work is about tools and timber. Some of it happens quietly - behind the scenes, out in the world, with a different kind of care.
This is the story behind the cat in my logo - and how a small act of kindness, a whole lot of resourcefulness, and a belief that where others see waste, I see potential came to shape everything I do.

A small cat. A quiet mission. A studio shaped by care
More Than a Logo
That cat in the logo represents something deeper. It’s a quiet symbol of the work I do beyond the studio.
For over 15 years, I’ve cared for several feral cat colonies that live on industrial sites in the south of Johannesburg - feeding them, getting them sterilised (Trap-Neuter-Return), and building small wooden shelters from discarded materials.

Making Something out of Nothing
Well... not just shelters. Cat B&Bs. Complete with compartments and cozy little boxes - all made from whatever I could find: broken bits of timber, leftover insulation, pieces of old signage, even things pulled from dustbins. If it had potential, I used it.
That experience shaped the way I see the world. It taught me that making something out of nothing isn’t just a creative practice - it’s a way of life. I love taking what others overlook and turning it into something beautiful, useful, and lasting.

Built from scrap, but full of care
The Same Care Goes into my Work
They’ve taught me a lot, my feral cats - about resilience, reuse, and showing up consistently.
And somewhere along the way, I realised my creative work and this quiet mission are deeply connected.
Nothing goes to waste.
The same quiet philosophy lives in every piece I make.
Support that Matters
Small acts - like feeding a stray cat or picking up a discarded piece of wood - can grow into something much bigger.
Studio-made wall art. Rescue work included. When you choose one of my pieces, you’re also helping support my feral cat project.
Thank you!🐾I’m truly grateful
